Exchange Student

Students from institutions included in our list of academic partners can take course units from any of HUB's Dutch-taught or English-taught professional degree programmes.  As an exchange student, you are officially enrolled in your home institution but you have decided to gain part of the credits of your Bachelor programme in Brussels. Your rights are mentioned in the Student Charter you received back home.

For immediate access to the exchange programmes:

You are eligible to apply for a study or placement exchange with HUB if you have been nominated by your home university.

In order to apply with HUB, you need to follow the procedure below:

  1. Compose your own programme based on our Course Catalogue HUB Professional Bachelor Programmes for exchange students (for academic year 2012-2013).
  2. Use Online Application Form to register. Complete your personal data, the data of your university and the programme you want to attend. If you registered correctly, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.
  3. Print out your registration document. Sign the registration document and send it together with 3 passport-size photographs, a photocopy of your ID, your transcripts of records of the previous years (your results) and a copy of your valid insurance policy to our postal address.
Deadline: before 15 June (first semester); 15 November (second semester).
  4. We need to receive your duly signed Learning Agreement. On this form you must mention which courses you would like to attend during your stay.
Deadline: the Learning Agreement must reach us before 30 June (first semester) / 1 December (second semester).
  5. After you have completed your registration, submitted all required documents, and the Mobility Office has approved your registration, you will be considered a HUB student. Congratulations!

If you'd like to improve your language skills, than these are the options:

  • If you want to learn Dutch, you can apply for the Dutch "European Intensive Language Course".
  • If you want to improve your level of English, you can follow a language summer course English, organised at HUB 3 weeks before the academic year starts.
  • During the academic year you can also attend advanced language courses.
  • Course descriptions of courses offered to Erasmus students can be found in our Course Catalogue HUB Professional Bachelors Programmes. Notice: only a limited number of exchange students enrolling into a professional progamme can attend a language course offered by the Faculty of Economics & Management.
