Mobility Office welcomes exchange students

On February 09, 2012, approximately 50 international students took the first step in the long and interesting journey of being an exchange student at Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel in one of its faculties. On their first day, the students coming from South Korea, Mexico, Brazil and most of the European States were welcomed by the Mobility Office, the international student organizations ESN and AIESEC and by the buddies. New to Belgium, they were introduced to the opportunities the country offers for international students. After receiving practical information on all the student facilities HUB offers etc. the students were sent on a photo quest through Brussels with a stop where they tasted our famous “Belgian” fries. The day was closed with a drink in a local bar organized by ESN. In the following days and week, they will have the opportunity to participate in more activities like a Belgian Quiz, a welcome party, etc. They additionally have to attend some more detailed information sessions on the customs and practicalities of studying at HUB. It will be the start of an international experience where they get to know the Belgian people and its high quality of studying.
