Exchange Programmes

This section provides information on procedures, courses and facilities for exchange students. If you are looking for a degree programme, this information does not apply to you. In this case, take a look at Degree programmes in English.

As an exchange student, you are officially enrolled in your home institution but you have decided (and received permission) to gain part of the credits of your Bachelor or Master programme in Brussels. Your mobility is governed by a bilateral agreement between HUBrussel and your home institution, either within the framework of the Erasmus Programme or on the partners' own terms. In both cases, it means that in addition to home regulations, HUBrussel's education and exam regulations apply to you. HUB adheres to the Erasmus principles as set out by the European Commission.

Depending on the terms of HUBrussel's bilateral agreement with your home institution, you can take courses from either the Professional Education Division or Academic Education Division (Faculties of Economics & Management, Linguistics & Literature and Law). You will need special approval from the HUBrussel International Office if you want to combine courses from both types of programmes.

Owning the Erasmus Mobility Charter, HUBrussel has engaged itself to adhere to the ECTS principles. Your rights are mentioned in the Student Charter you received back home.

Everything you need to know about living and studying in Brussels is included in the section Brussels.
