Study programmes
HUB programmes are organised by two educational divisions:
-
Professional Bachelors
-
Academic Bachelors and Masters
HUB's professional programmes are geared towards professional practise and aim to prepare students for the independent exercise of a profession. They are practise-oriented and include work placements.
HUB's academic bachelor programmes are primarily geared towards further studies at Master level and as such have a solid basis in research. At the same time, however, they have a strong practical and business relevance. The same holds for master programmes.
Credits
All HUB bachelor programmes consist of 180 European credits (ECTS) and on average take three years of full-time study. All master programmes, with the exception of Business Engineer consist of 60 European credits and take one year of full-time study. They include a master thesis of minimum 15 European credits.
Admission
The general admission requirements to a bachelor programme is the Flemish diploma of secondary education. If a foreign qualification is recognised on the basis of the Flemish decree, the Belgian law, a European directive or an international convention, the holder will have direct access to a bachelor programme.
The general admission requirement to a master programme is a Flemish bachelor degree in the relevant discipline or a foreign qualification which is considered equivalent to the former. If no equivalence can be established, additional requirements (such as completing a bridging programme) may apply.
An advanced master programme is accessible only to holders of a qualification which is considered equivalent to a Flemish master degree in the relevant discipline. In addition, for admission to a Dutch-taught programme, evidence of Dutch language fluency is required. For admission to an English-taught programme, additional admission requirements may apply.
