  • you want to be able to evaluate critically the use of advanced social statistical methods in the social scientific research literature, including: the formulation of social scientific problems in terms of advanced data analysis; the design of specialised sampling methods; the selection and construction of the required data through the use of suitable advanced techniques; a thorough knowledge of possible sources of bias in social scientific data and possible remedies; a command of the advanced social statistical methods of analysis; a command of advanced computer software for social scientific data analysis; the design of a well-founded and up-to-date strategy of analysis; as well as reporting and communicating the results of the analysis obtained
  • you want to acquire a high level of analytical skills and you want to be able to function adequately in a range of research contexts (profit, non-profit organisations, governmental and non-governmental-national and international organisations) on a high professional level
