Guest professor wins gold

At the latest European Masters Weightlifting Championship in Togliatti, Russia, HUB guest professor Alea Fairchild won gold in the category 45/49 - <69kg. She also set a new Belgian record with 59 kg in the clean and jerk and 44 in the snatch, for a total of 103 kg. Her track record proves that prof. dr. Fairchild besides being a dedicated academic, is also an outstanding athlete:
- she has been Belgian Masters Champion in this category since 2005
- she has collected already two bronze medals at the European Masters Championship
- she was runner-up World Champion twice

On June 6, Prof. Fairchild will defend her title at the Belgian Championship for seniors in Enghien.

Prof. Dr. Fairchild teaches Business Research Methods to students of the Master of International Business Economics and Management (MIBEM). She is also a research fellow at the Constantia Institute and author of books such as “Entrepreneurship - Introduction to Business Plans”.
